This is a safety-sensitive position, exercising a high degree of trust, integrity and confidence that is responsible for administrative, supervisory, and professional work in the operation and maintenance of the aquatic facilities and in coordinating various aquatics programs. This position is responsible for the management, coordination and evaluation of staff within the Aquatics Division to include the Parker Recreation Center aquatics area, H2O’Brien pool/concessions, Discovery Park Ice Trail and Fountains as well as Salisbury Park Concessions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management/Administration, or a related field, and two (2) to four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in parks, recreation, community service, aquatic operations and programming, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Current Lifeguarding, and Lifeguard Instructor certifications, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO), and CPR, AED, first aid, oxygen and BLS Instructor Certifications Required.
Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT) and Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) certifications preferred.
Certified Parks & Recreation Professional (CPRP) and Designated Aquatic Professional (AqP) certifications or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire are required.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) License or the ability to obtain is preferred.
