The ARC Award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected SCL Health Board-approved goals. The Guest Services / Hospital Operations Director will provide leadership for the overall operations and administration of Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Volunteer Services, Security and Central Transport. In this role you will, develop strategies and process improvement activities to support the mission of SCL Health Good Samaritan Hospital, establish policies and procedures, maintenance of quality controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements..
As a Guest Services / Hospital Operations Director you need to know how to:
Select, train, orient, and assign department staff (either directly or through management structure). Develop standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Develop department goals and objectives, and establish and implement policies and procedures for department operation.
Assure department compliance with operational and strategic plans.
Responsible for operational and capital budgets, annual operating plans, and business plans for new services and staffing.
Provide leadership over designated departments to assure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Assure essential equipment and supplies such as but not limited to cleaning agents/EVS chemicals meet required standards to affect maximum cleanliness and sanitation.
Participate in hospital/medical staff committees meetings as required. Attend, lead, and serve on committees as appropriate.
Oversee contractors, and contracts as applicable; and is the liaison with contracting companies.
Evaluate and adopt new programs to enhance patient care, and safety.

Bachelorâ™s Degree or equivalent managerial experience in relevant field, required
Masterâ™s Degree in related field, preferred
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting, required
Highly prefer prior experience in hospital operations
