Travel Portland has retained SearchWide Global to find a transparent, approachable, dynamic leader to serve as the new President and CEO.
Travel Portland is a promoter and steward of this evolving city and its progressive values, which have the power to transform the travelers who visit us. Travel Portland generates travel demand that drives economic impact for Portland. We do that by promoting the destination in bold, innovative, and collaborative ways that harness Portland’s personality and values and that connect visitors to authentic experiences. We do it because we believe in the good of Portland and the transformative effects of travel.
The President and CEO oversees all aspects of Travel Portland’s work and finances program. Major areas include ensuring strong political support, major funder relationships, and strategic direction for agency and community leadership.
Direct and lead Travel Portland toward its mission. Work directly with Board or governing body on policy making and strategy for organization. Act as primary spokesperson for organization.
Direct daily operations of Travel Portland and implementation of policies and procedures set forth by the Board of Directors. The President and CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors on all aspects of the performance of his/her duties and responsibilities. Ensure that Travel Portland meets or exceeds the goals established.
