The Parks & Recreation Manager coordinates, plans, organizes and manages the recreation services division for the Columbia, Missouri Parks and Recreation Department including the areas of sports, golf, community recreation, recreation programming, special events, indoor facilities and aquatics. An applicant must have a strong background in the field of parks and recreation including facility management, special events and recreation programming. Successful applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Public Administration, or closely related field. Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
