Position Overview.
The President & CEO of the Pooler Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau serves as the primary leader and strategist responsible for advancing the Chamber’s mission to foster a thriving business environment and position Pooler as a visitor destination. The CEO will play a pivotal role in economic development, business advocacy, tourism promotion, and community engagement while effectively managing the Chamber’s operations and finances.
This role requires a visionary, strategic, and highly relational leader who can unite businesses, government officials, and community stakeholders around common goals that drive long-term success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in organizational leadership, business development, stakeholder collaboration, and policy advocacy.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven leadership experience (5+ years) in a Chamber of Commerce, economic development, tourism, or business association.
Strong business acumen with experience in financial management, fundraising, and revenue growth.
Skilled communicator, collaborator, and relationship builder with both private and public sector leaders.
Ability to strategically advocate for business-friendly policies at the local, regional, and state levels.
Experience managing and leading a high-performing team.
About Greater Pooler Chamber and Visitors Bureau - The Chason Group
The Greater Pooler Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is a 501(c)6 private membership organization. The President & CEO reports to the 17 member Board of Directors and leads a professional staff of 5. The Chamber serves as the Destination Management Organization (DMO) for Pooler.
This is a diversified job requiring sustained mental effort related to public contacts, organizational issues, mediation, planning and technical areas as well as travel, public speaking, and non-standard business hours.
